Come Fly with Me
by Frank Sinatra

Frank and Motown in particular, make me think of my Dad. I got my love of music from him, and enjoying music together, particularly on 12 inch vinyl (yup…vinyl) brought us some of our best memories. Having him as a father and a best friend was a gift from God, and I miss him every single day. Every time I hear Sinatra, The Temps, Smokey, Martha & the Vandellas, etc., it’s like I still get to have him with me for just a few minutes more.

Me and Baby Brother
by War

War was one of the great funk bands of the 1970s, and their songs stressed an important message of unity and harmony that still holds true today. I love this song in particular for the powerful lyrics.

An awesome song! It has everything from Taylor Swift vocals on a Tim McGraw track, down to the Keith Urban guitar solo.

Brighton Rock
by Queen

Queen was the first band I was really passionate about and became a big fan in my early teens. They’ve always been a constant favorite and always my number one. One of my fondest memories was being at Reading Festival in 1979 and hearing The Police open with “Message in a Bottle” – I was there and will never forget it.

My Little Girl
by Tim McGraw

My daughter selected this song for the father and bride dance at her wedding.  For many months she implored me to listen to it and be familiar with it. Despite her advice, I didn’t truly listen to the song until the morning of her wedding and was an emotional wreck the entire day! Now a very fond memory of that special day.

Top of the World
by VanHalen

VanHalen released Top of the World my senior year of high school and it pretty much summed up how I was feeling back then. I went to their concert that year and was exposed to a new career opportunity – Roadie.  I opted for college.

Bohemian Rhapsody
by Queen

This song is a seriously masterful pure genius work of art. Freddie Mercury was the sole writer of the song and the sections were pieced together and only Freddie Mercury knew what it would sound like when it was all was said and done, so the rest of the team was simply contributing their part and trusting Freddie on what the outcome would be.
